The midwife team are on hand via live chat Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm. The chats are completely FREE for SMA® Baby Club members, they’re private and confidential, and you can access the online function from anywhere, and as frequently as you like.

All the midwives on the Epical team are fully qualified, insured and regulated.

Will my chat be with a midwife from SMA® Baby Club?

When you access Midwife Live, you’ll be connected to a midwife from Epical Global. Although Epical Global is affiliated with SMA® Baby Club, the advice they provide is independent.

Are the midwives on the chat all qualified?

Yes, all the midwives on the Epical team are fully qualified, insured and are regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission) and The Nursing & Midwifery Council, the independent regulating body for nurses and midwives in the UK.

Can Midwife Live chat provide a medical diagnosis?

The service provided by Epical Global is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for personalised medical care or emergency services. How frequently can I use the Midwife Live chat service?

You can use the Midwife Live service as frequently as you would like. There is no limit to how many times you can access it.

When can I contact them?

The Midwife team are available from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday.  However, SMA Careline® is available around the clock if you’d like support on feeding queries or have other questions.

I have a question about formula milk. Should I use this service?

If your question is about formula milk—How to prepare it, which stage to use, or anything product-related—our friendly SMA Careline® team is your best bet. They are on-hand 24/7.

If you're looking for advice around feeding more generally, our Midwife Live service is also here to support you. If there’s ever something they can’t help with, they’ll gently guide you to speak to your healthcare professional for the best care.
